Description
Who was the man who dared to build the Kemp Town Estate, and who left Brighton such a superb architectural legacy?
Was it Kemp who encouraged the Prince Regent to come to Brighton? It was Kemp's house in the centre of town which was replaced by the Royal Pavilion, home of the future King.
What else can we discover in order to learn who was the real Thomas Read Kemp? His Christian ministry, his political activities, and functions as a magistrate, his role in developing the town?
We hope that this Celebration of his Thomas Read Kemp will help to paint a clearer picture of this man and his importance to Brighton and beyond.
