Take the Lead - Animal Cancer Trust Sponsored Dog Walk

A sponsored walk, with or without a dog, to raise funds for the charity Animal Cancer Trust.

There are 6.9 million dogs in the UK. One in four dogs will be affected by cancer.

There are 9.2 million cats in the UK. Up to one in eight cats will be affected by cancer.

But, there are fewer than 10 RCVS Recognised Specialists in Veterinary Oncology in the UK.

The Animal Cancer Trust aims are:
- To provide education and information that help veterinary surgeons and owners understand more about cancer and what treatments are possible.

- To facilitate ethical research and improve our understanding and treatment of cancer.

-To work with partners, at home and abroad, to pursue the fight against cancer in our pets.

Our pets are important members of our families. They give us unconditional love and, in return, we should give them the best we can.
