Mackenzie Thorpe Gallery

Following the success of his gallery Arthaus in Richmond, North Yorkshire, Mackenzie Thorpe has recently opened an exciting new gallery at 1 Union Street, Brighton. Having a gallery in Brighton has long been a dream of Mackenzie’s as he has been a resident of Hove for nearly seven years. The gallery is set amongst the twisting alleyways of the Brighton Lanes together with antique, jewellery, boutique fashion and design shops and will showcase some of Mackenzie’s newest pieces, straight off the easel and into the gallery. The gallery features original and limited edition published art and sculpture.

Mackenzie, originally from Middlesbrough, studied art at the Byam Shaw school of Art in London and has been working as a full time artist since 1989. Mackenzie’s work attracts people from all walks of life, irrespective of age, gender, social class, or nationality and hangs in individual and corporate collections in the UK, Japan, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. His work has also featured in magazines, periodicals, newspapers, films television programmes, including interior and exterior design shoots around the world.
