Artist Residence & Art Gallery is not just a bed, it’s an idea. As the UK’s first and only Art Hotel of its kind, we at AR believe in doing away with mundane hotel experiences and showing our guests a little imagination.

We start with showcasing local and international artists in our gallery space. With a new exhibition every month we create a diverse stage to display talent from every corner of the globe and just around the corner. At AR we also think that artists should benefit from what they create. Unlike other galleries ours is run on non-profit bases. This means all proceeds from sales go directly to the artist. It’s our way of trying to give something back.

Don’t think the artistic experience ends after visiting our gallery space; our rooms are works of art themselves. Staying at AR allows our guests a choice between 17 stunning different rooms all with ensuite facilities. With each designed and painted by an artist handpicked by a member of the AR staff, guests are able to choose a one of a kind room that can make their stay in Brighton a truly memorable one.

Not only does AR offer a creative, unique experience inside its walls, there is also so much that Brighton has to offer right outside our bright pink front door. AR is situated in an unbeatable location, 5 minutes away from the famous Brighton Beach and West Pier and 10 minutes walk to the North and South Laines and Brighton’s vibrant bars and nightlife. Staying at AR means being ideally placed right in the middle of everything Brighton has to offer.
